Merry....Thanksgiving?

Husband has told me that I am not supposed to randomly exclaim, "It's almost Christmas!" until after Thanksgiving, but no one has told that to the local malls. They are already filled with Christmas decorations and a festive spirit. Despite the fact that I buy most of my gifts online, I love going shopping this time of year. The holiday energy puts me in such a good mood.
I love this time of year. Shopping for people I love, buying new coats, wearing comfy sweaters, drinking Gingerbread Spice Holiday Tea by Celestial Seasonings (I need to remember to stock up so I can continue to drink this all year around!) and spending time with friends and family. And the sales - don't forget the sales!
It doesn't hurt that my birthday is in early December. I get a birthday month instead of just one day because Husband spoils me. How could I not love the holiday season when celebrating my birth is part of the festivities?
It's almost Christmas! Merry Thanksgiving!

FML
I read this on FMLife last night and I laughed so hard, I cried. I couldn't even read it loud to Husband without bursting into giggles. I just stood on the steps trying to get through it, tears running down my face. Although I was unable to share the entire passage with him, he got the idea. Or at least he acted like he did, so I would stop talking/laughing uncontrollably and he could get back to watching the football game.
I hope you find it just as fit-inducing as I did:
Today, I told my boyfriend how happy I was with him. He responded by pulling down his pants and slapping his ass. I have no idea what that was supposed to mean. FML
I am not sure what that says about me as a person, but I am pretty sure it is hilarious.
If that didn't make you as happy as it made me, there are more where that came from at FMLife.

Eye Test
I got following email from a coworker.
Look closely at this photo:
Did you see the naked butt in the background? If so, scroll down....If yes, then make an appointment with your eye doctor because it is the shoulder of the girl who is taking the photo!
Haha! I just thought I would share a little "joy" with you on a random Tuesday!

Damn You, 5'2"
I guess I will just have to settle for looking at it instead. Sigh.
I also...um....don't really have anywhere to wear this dress. Please keep in mind that that fact is irreverent.

Jack (Johnson) is Back
Jack Johnson has a new CD out! En Concert was released on October 26 and is a live recording from his 2008 tour. The cool part is that 100% of the proceeds from the tour and release will go to the Kokua Hawaii Foundation and the Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation to support environmental, art, and music education around the world.
Jack's music always makes me feel happy, relaxed and brings back great memories of an amazing week Husband and I spent on Maui. His cousin was getting married at a resort in Lahaina and while Better Together was playing during the wedding dance, her brother her brother leaned back in his chair and said, "Sing on Brother Jack."
Husband and I decided that we needed to figure out who "Brother Jack" was and we ended up buying the In Between Dreams CD and listened to it in our rental car as we drove along the Road to Hana. It was an amazing drive and listening to the CD by the Hawaiian naive only enhanced our experience. Thanks to that drive, Banana Pancakes is one of my all-time favorite songs.
Sing on, Brother Jack...

Purple Satchel Lovin'
I have been on the hunt for a new purse to love, which has taken surpisingly longer than I would ever have guessed. All of a sudden, I found TWO!
First, by the lovely Ms. Tory Burch, the Dena Leather Satchel in Eggplant:
This bag is gorgeous and the leather looks amazingly soft. Yum! It is a such a classy bag in a great color.
Second, the BCBGeneration Handbag, Zip Ruffle Satchel in Plum:The ruffles are so fun and they make the bag so unique. The soft plum color offsets the toughness of the zippers, so it would be an easy bag to dress up or down. It is also the cheaper or the two, so it depend on whether I feel like treating myself to something special, or just add a fun new bag to my handbag repertoire.
In short, I love, love, love them! I haven't bought anything fabulously purple lately either...it looks like it is about time! Either one of these bags would be a nice change from my consistently black handbags!
